Description: The colourful arcs of that image are produced by rather large and well orientated ice crystals in cirrus clouds. All these halos are usually formed by hexagonal plates and columns, which are sufficient to draw a plethora of ice-halos into the sky, whenever the crystals are of sufficient quality. Reflection and refraction draw these arcs here.
