Description: Have you ever felt yourself inside a dragon? With tens of stalactites pointing at your head, being below an icefall mimic in a way such a scaring sensation. When thermometers fall below zero, even friendly small waterfalls acquire a hostile character. The shape of these structures in the Töss Valley varies from year to year and even within a winter season, they can melt away and get refrozen again, always depending on the capricious behaviour of winter temperatures. Therefore when it is bitterly cold outside, when the chimneys of your neighbourhood are busy smoking, don’t be afraid to get out of your cosy home: wear a warm sweater, or may be better two, and go out to enjoy the icy spectacle. The icefall hunting has already started!
