Description: At the end of a 16-hour storm-chase through Belgium and Germany, I took this picture of a tiny but newly developing storm at dawn near Liège. I missed two strikes just before this one, and only five minutes laters the daylight was too strong to take more pictures. A deep sonic boom followed after this beautiful bolt.
