Description: This picture was taken some minutes later than the previous one (No. 204). The thunderstorm left this beautiful rainbow descending on the region, on our way just before dusk, and it kept its maximum vertical structure. I was unable to leave that place until the last sunbeams had disappeared.

Description: During a heavy thunderstorm on the Peninsula of Parata, contrary to the appearance, this picture was taken in the night, with the lighthouse to prove that fact. A strong lightning struck behind me and permitted to reveal this incredible cloud structure and to show how powerful this place is. The Genoan tower seems to be a impregnable castle taken out of a tale.

Description: After the rain, a beautiful rainbow appeared on a clean sky. It was so beautiful but lasted only for ten minutes. Lucky me, I had the tripod ready and I took for shots to create this image, four because I wanted to get a panorama view to include all the rainbow and I also used the bracketing mode.

Description: The picture was taken at sunrise towards the east. But at that time the sun was still hidden by the 2600 metre a.s.l. jagged summit called the Ferrouillet. So only the altocumulus lenticularis cloud was shining on and could be seen showing through near Grenoble.

Description: At dusk on a warm and sunny day in late autumn, a mist from the Rhône Valley casts its veil over the city. Seen from the Massif Du Pilat, only a few high-rise buildings emerge amidst this stratus coloured by the lights of the city. This moving bank of mist would disappear during the night as the wind gently blew.
